Cancellation Policy

At Donabate Dental Clinic, we strive to provide our patients with a high standard of care and quality dental treatment, in an appropriate time frame and to use our clinical time effectively.

We value your time and the practice time also.

We will endeavour to email, text or ring you before your appointment. However, it is your responsibility to remember the appointment you have committed to, and the practice has reserved for you.

In order to achieve this, we have a cancellation / missed appointments policy:

  • On booking your appointment, time has been reserved especially for you by your dentist or hygienist.
  • We kindly ask that you please provide the practice with at least 24 hours’ notice should you need to reschedule or cancel your appointment.
  • This allows us time to fill our schedule with other patients who are on our waiting list and to minimise disruption.
  • You can reschedule or cancel your appointment by phone or email.
  • We understand that sometimes cancellations cannot be avoided due to emergencies, and we will take all valid circumstances into account.
  • Failing to attend or cancelling within 24 hours may be subject to a charge from €50.00. The amount can vary and will depend on the length and type of appointment reserved for you.
  • In addition, you may have to wait several weeks before we can see you again, depending on availability.
  • If you have 2 or more breaches of the cancellation policy in a 12 month period, you may be asked to pay a deposit to secure a future appointment. The deposit amount can vary depending on the type of the treatment and appointment length. The amount of the deposit is fully redeemable against the cost of the treatment.
